Reverse Reverb.
This effect has been used on loads of songs and is great for creating some haunting vocals.

Right,
First off find an accapella that you can use.. i got ‘M.I.A - Bucky Done Gun’ from accapellas4u.
Create two audio tracks in session view.
Name them ‘Track A’ & ‘Track B’ and then drag your accapella to ‘Track A’ along with a reverb preset ( i used ‘Forest Floor’ ).
Now double click on your accapella clip to bring up the sample display.
Click on the rev button, as shown below, to reverse the audio.

Now we need to set up the routing to send your reversed audio to ‘Track B’.
To do this set up your in out settings as shown below:

What this is basically doing is sending your audio from ‘Track A’ to ‘Track B’ which then sends it to the master channel.
I will go more in depth about routing, sends and returns in another tutorial.
If you have set your tracks up correctly, you should now see a record symbol in ‘ Track B’ like this:

Press the record button on ‘Track B’ and then play on ‘Track A’ this will record your reversed audio into ‘Track B’.
Once the recording has finished hit stop or the space bar and then go back to the sample display and hit ‘rev’ again to put your audio back to normal.
Now change the monitor setting to ‘Auto’ to listen to your new recording, you should now be able to hear the ‘Reversed Reverb’.
You dont have to stick to just vocals with this technique either, it works well on drums and other sounds aswell… Have Fun!
