I came accross this whilst browsing through artists on Fab Channel and was impressed by DTL’s use of ableton.
I also like the fact that he’s using a mic to sing where most people would use sample’s.
Check it out.
Dummy clips are something ive never understood and never bothered to mess about with, so i was gonna try teach myself then write a tutorial on what ive learnt… but i found these video’s on Vimeo which teach you more than i ever could in under 10 minutes..

‘Just Add Music’ is third party software that lets you add video to your audio clips in ableton.
This means that you will be able to dj and vj at the same time.
At £100 for the software and then another £500 upwards for a projector, its not a cheap game to get into but im sure the coolness factor of being able to have videos relating to the music your playing on a screen behind you would be impressive!!
Check out some videos of the program after the jump.
I found this a while ago but i thought id share for all you that may not have seen it yet.
Its a video from a guy that has re-created a chunk of ‘Daft Punks - Alive’ set in Ableton.
Pretty impressive stuff.
